The Massless Pen uses an incredibly accurate, responsive and intuitive touch pad on the front end of the Pen for input. This enables to the Pen to be used stand alone for interfacing with the digital workspace or with an offhand controller like a Vive, Rift, keyboard or other device.
The touch pad is a capacitive sensor and the sensor can be programmed to do many things that an application requires. Some common uses will be – selecting menu items, scrolling through menu options, laying down ink, changing brush size, increasing opacity, scrolling through objects in a scene.
We don’t use mechanical buttons for input because we focus on accuracy and even the simple click of a mechanical button can make the tip of the Pen move when its held in mid-air. Where’ve you been all my life?
